alrighty then i wanna wrack your guys brains i just blew up the motor that i bought last year any suggestions on building a new one

a little more info would be helpful what are you running for a truck and what you got for running gear

I know of a 377 sbc puts out 534 hp and 400 something tq. If your interested let me know. Im not 100% sure on the price but I thought he said he would sell for like 3500. Can hear it run.

craigslist has alot of cheap motors on there my buddy got a 406 sbc 535 hp for 2500.00

i would like to do that but i looked into all that and id probly go with a twin turbo big block but thats lots more money than i got

i ran a big block ford im a ford guy myself im runnin 2.5 ton rockwells with 50 inch tires and a scs t case 3 to 1 drop id like to get around 750 to 850 ponies maybe a tunnel ram idk if i want to build a stroker though but thats probly the only way id get that much power

You can definately get more power and torque from a big block easy enough to power through most anything.

that wont fly im a ford boy born and raised this last motor blew up becuase my engine builder didn't put one of the nuts on one of the rod caps but i got a new guy for a little more not much tho

besides i wouldnt waste my money on a chevy motor haha jk i got respect for them chevy motors tho,

theres no doubt there but there a little spendier than i want to go. i was thinking about sonny bryant crank and maybe build a 589 because i just scored a 429 super cobra jet with a 4 bolt main and use these heads too
