what im lookin for is parts for a 96 yamaha kodiak 400 awd im looking for is parts in the rear differantial (the rear pinion seal rear pinion berings )iv been looking online and ill search through tons of web sites and in all there results they only show a listing for front differential parts nothing for the rear at all ..???... figured someone on here knows of a good place online or a good store in the central mn area??? thanks.

Do you only need the pinion bearings and seal? no gears? i should be able to get them at work.

damb thanks !!! i would like to replace the pinion gear #7 definetly need # 4 # 9 my pinion gear is pretty chewed up but still would work . and whatever is the outer pinion seal too . also lookin for a part on the rear suspension arm it the rubber boot that covers the driveshaft..

While i might be able to get the seals and bearings from work cheaper, but not the pinion itself. the scematic is from service honda, I have ordered from them before, or bring the part numbers to a yahaha dealer, heres the link...

wow that pinion is expencive .. yeah i think all i need for sure would be the 2 pinion berings and the oil seal the other berings are just fine .. let me know how much ya can get them for thanks!!

How bad is the pinion? Whats worn the teeth where it meshes with the ring gear or the shaft where th bearings ride or the splines on the end?
can you put up some pics of the carnage?

its the pinion gear surface it still mats up the the ring gear pretty good i was thinkin spend a few hours and bust out my welder and add to the gear where a few chunks are a little gone none of the teeth are broken just alot of pits and chuncks out of it ill try to get pictures up when i find my camera

I deal with both, i live close to larsons, i prefer denis kirk because everythings in stock and alot cheper
