Looks great!!! You forgot to mention you have to put a wall on the back!!! o thats right its summer your using the "free air" conditioning system. Just open up the door when going on the road and your set. lol Or your leaving it off so you don't loose the "camping" feeling right. NO just kiding......it looks great there a blast to drive also. go get the unit weighed Im curious. Im planning on doing mine this spring when i get it all equiped.

burbillac
03-30-2009, 09:46 AM
Were do I get it weighed at?a weigh station?

ox_man
03-30-2009, 10:02 AM
feed mills/farm stores, gavel pits, junk yards, and some truck stops will have scales.

the truck stops will charge $8-10 to weigh it for you, closest truckstops with scales (that i know of) would be stockmans in So St Paul (494 and concord?) TA in Hudson (exit 4) and TA in Rogers (ext 205)

The 7.3l i am unfamilar with. As far as my engine its a basic 12 valve 5.9 cummins with the P-pump (easy to tweak). It is rated at 190hp at 2550 rpm, The governor springs in the pump red line the engine at 2550, even if the motor is capable of more. I have the spring kit to bump it up to 3200rpm, havent done it yet. I also have a 250hp fuel plate to put in and a AFC spring kit. I just put the boost and EGT gauge in this winter, so i don't want to start tweaking the engine before i see what things are at first. I want a benchmark to go off as I tune it. Right now I can hold it to the board and go 65mph. I was doing research and maybe next year want to swap out the rear end gears to prolly 4:10s. Which would drop RPMs and increase top speed. We are going to use it for camping to haul wheelers also so We will have it on the freeway quite a bit and want to be able to keep up with traffic.
