I have a 1973 jdx8 sitting out back with parts to put the blown motor together but i ran out of ambition when i got into trucks. Theres also a 1976 polaris electra 440 widetrack sitting next to it that runs but its seen much better days.

the day before I was going to buy a sled, the temp got about 50 degrees and melted the 1.5 feet we had so I took that as a sign not to get one. I'll stick to my summer toys...

Picked up a 79 tx 340 for 50 bucks last week runs and drives hell of a deal. the odometer says 22,350 miles must be some kind of record !! still rips though. and it came with a bunch of extras. great little sled for my boys !! now I have to put one of my three polaris triples back together . ride on

triples are no good!! make lots of power but blow up really easy...my fav is probably the 98 polaris storm 800...my step dad has one..wow does it scream. but we've already had to rebuild it 2 times

LOL MY bro has a few storms a 750 , 800, 861 big bore. the big one is about 195 hp but is totally built , lake race porting, lake race aaen pipes, and aftermarket tmx flatslide carbs, it is insane for a trail sled lol :D

It looks like I'm the only one with a 4stroke! oh well, I get about 20 miles to the gallon goin 100+mph.
It's a 2004 Yamaha RX Warrior (136") have exhaust, 224 studs on 1.25 ripsaw, or 2" paddle, geared, drop brackets for rear skid (2" lift), carbon fiber windshield, powder coated lower a-arms, and all the aluminum polished. It gets the job done...oh yeah, and it's for sale! I want to get another one, and add a couple more mods...supercharger & boivin suspension.
http://i806.photobucket.com/albums/yy350/stvsrnsn/101_5619-1.jpghttp://i806.photobucket.com/albums/yy350/stvsrnsn/101_5618-1.jpghttp://i806.photobucket.com/albums/yy350/stvsrnsn/101_5617-1.jpg

224 stud :jaw: i could understand if it's got lots of horses and on the ice most the time. We have that on our speed track with ice picks on one of our race sleds. Our 700 with the trail port and polish that's pushin, i believe they said 160hp, run with 144. But hey if you can afford them, RUN'EM..never can have enough traction
fullblown
10-08-2009, 05:58 PM
that's the problem...these suspensions don't transfer very well, and that's why I'm going to get an ad boivin expert X on my next, (or this one if I don't sell it). Nitrous or a supercharger was also the next step, so I wanted to be prepared! They come stock with 145hp, plus the "claimed" 13-17hp with the exhaust and re-jet.

10-08-2009, 06:21 PM
I would do supercharger...nitrous gets expensive after awhile LOL...we looked at the boondocker system.
