Well I now can’t afford to hit the bogs for the rest of the year I just bought a 79 Chevy K20 off of eBay for $800.00 with Dana 60s under it(i still dont have the last truck i bouht paid off yet) I haven’t seen the truck in person yet but if the frame is good I’m going to take off the 79 body and piece together a body from the 5 60-66 Chevy and gmc pickups a friends uncle has sitting on his farm. For engine and trans it will be a 454 and th400 I just bought a couple of weeks ago out of a 89 1ton 4x4 I parted out. Im going to try to shave the calipers on the 60s to fit my 15 in rims so I save my 39.5x18x15 boggers. I’ll hope to have it done by mid summer 2009 would like to get it done sooner but now very broke, still got to focus on my last year of school, and my friend need to finish his truck first so I have a place to build

i hope your sure that the k-20 has a 60 front , i know there out ther but i have never seen one or heard of anyone who has personally saw one. its probably a 10 bolt in the front and a 14 bolt in the rear.

I know there’s not supposed to be a 60s in it but the eBay add said 60s and I called and asked him specifically if they were 60s and he said yes so if there not I’m not going to pay for it and tell him to keep it

from 73-76 k10,20 used dana 44 front axles,in 77-78gm changed over from the 44,to the corporate 10 bolt.either axle could have bean used during these years.79-87 only the corporate 10 bolt was used.So unless he put it in he's just blowin yah smoke.

this is the description of the truck from the add and I called him again as asked a second time if they were really Dana 60s because I know that they didn’t come in that truck from the factory but he assured me that they were military Dana 60s (maybe swapped in from an old military vehicle?) the truck is old and a lot can be done to a truck in 30 years I’m really not worried if they aren’t Dana 60s I’m not gong to pay for the truck and I don’t think eBay would like his false description of the truck


1979 Chevy K 20 98000 original miles. 350 ci 4x4 with western plow. Plow works good. Transmission needs some work. Dana 60 axles. Runs good. Rusty but trusty. Just needs someone to have time to work on it. Would make a good rock crawler or mud truck. $ 800.00 gets just truck. $ 1500.00 gets truck with the plow. Newer tires and brakes. Do not have the time to work on this have to many other projects. Needs someone who has time to work on tranny. Good plow truck used it for that for two yrs. There are no guaranties or warranties with this vehicle. It is being sold as is. No delivery offered with this item. Buyer must pick item up. Have limited access to the internet. So if you have any questions or would like pics emailed call ***-***-***and I will give what info you are looking for and work on getting pics emailed out. No over seas bids welcome. This is is a 3/4 ton truck.

too bad the pictures are so blurry or youd be able to tell what the front end was. id have him e mail ya pics of the axles if ya havent allready bought it.

I forgot to update this, the guy was wrong it didn’t have the Dana 60s only a 44 hd and a 14 bolt I was pi$$ed driving 600 miles 9 hours round trip, and $160.00in diesel. I was going to just leave but it would have sucked going through all that for nothing so we worked out a deal and I got it for $400. so still a decent deal a th400 core, a th400 np203, a good 4 bolt 350, and axles and the truck is serving as storage for all my other $hit
