Last weekend i was going to replace my upper shackle bushings than i thought it would be really easy to lift my truck a few more inches. Here are the pics. The drive shaft is getting streched and i need to get a diffirent rod for my crossover stering and i think i may put a panhard bar on the front axle. I got abought 5.5" more lift bring the total to 15.5":D Sorry pics are to big to add to post i will put them in my profile.

That gives me ideas. :) I could use another 5" under my truck then just maybe the 44's wont rub and I can actually use em.

You have any more pictures and how thick is that square stock and the steel for the shackles you used?

Thank you.

The square tube it 3" and 3/8" thick and the tabs are also 3/8" the shakles are 3/8" with 1" square tube to keep the shakles from bending. I was working on the rear tonight but forgot my camara. I am going to work on it tommorow so i will take more pics.

the only thin i would sugest is welden a gusset in the frt and rear of the shackel drop because of the force applied to the shackles when you r seriously mudden i will get a pic of my drops so you can see mine this is my second desighn as i learned from the fistt one

Just cutout the center of the of the shackle bracket to make room for the to be flipped upside down and put through from the bottom up. Then weld a gusset like compound said to reinforce it. If your shackles are stock they might not come lose and you might have cut or torch the bolts off. you can buy a new set of shackles from summit for like 50 bucks and they come with bushings. If you want even more lift, buy the lowering shackles that drop 2 or 4" and flip them upside down to gain even more lift. Then on the front springs cut off the front perch mounts and weld in a piece of tube steel or whatever you desire to match the lift to the rear.
