The tranny works just fine, i was having issues keeping the water out of my intake, before i sling the mud it works greater than ever and then as soon as a little mud mixed with water hits, that's when she loses power. i need help with the water proofing. Now it's sitting on the trailer, it turns over but just won't fire. it kind of wanted to but it just gave me two loud bangs and that was it, got the battery charger on it and it still won't fire. probably a little wet still.

I heard about it just before I left yesterday, and I would say that the whole thing is BS. I'm not really interested in stirring the rumor mill either, so I won't say much yet, but if the reason that I heard for the whole deal is true, then that's even more BS, 'cause I saw A LOT worse issues just about everywhere else I looked.

It's sad that something like that has to cloud an otherwise good time. For my part though, it came with more collateral damage than I am used to: two rear driveshafts, a rear t-case yoke, and I think that there is at least one tooth missing off of the front ring gear. Oh well... The record of two whole years without breaking the front axle will have to stand.

Ok Every One I'am Going To Give All Of You The Short Version Of What Happened On Sat Three Years Ago I Got Run Over By A Mud Truck That Was Being Pulled By Sid I Asked Sid To Help Pay The Hospital Bills,sid Would Not So The Only Thing I Could Do Was Sue Him So Three Years Later We Finnaly Settle The Case I Did Not Come Out Of This With Any Money In My Pocket. Any Way I Went To Crown On Saturday When I Got There I Was Told By Shawn Erickson That The Owner Of The Property Didnt Want Me There Because I Was A Liability So I Turned My Truck Around And Went Home. I Would Like To Know What The Rest Of You Would Have Done If It Happened To You.

I don't know what the deal was with my truck. When I got there I had a hell of a time starting it, somehow it was flooded. Drained down my battery and had some starter issues. I did make one run and then couldn't start it again so go back out. I had a birthday party to get to so I went back Sunday and it fired right up and drove on the trailer.

I saw a few trucks there from this board but I never got a chance to come say hi between running around trying to get my truck going and then having to leave early, then after I heard they wouldn't let Tom in I was even more pissed. Tom, I don't think that there is much else you could have, or should have done. You made the right move in not making a bad situation worse. I'm also glad to hear that the owner made the effort to call and apologize.

With that said, Shawn needs to get his priorities in order and make sure that the trucks running in the pit actually belong there. I saw a lot of pull points that had no business being in that pit. The guy that wrecked my strap and broke his own pulling me out was a much bigger liability. Part of it was my own fault for not checking his pull point myself before letting him hook up, which is something that I normally do. Regardless, he was pulling with a ball, and shouldn't have been anywhere near the pit.

well, i figured out what was wrong with the dodge, i'm a little embarrassed to say this but, my spark plug wires were in the wrong spots.:brick: oops.:brick: I cleaned my distributor cap and rotor, put the wires in the right spot and the truck sounds just as mean as when i bought it, fired right up with no backtalk. thank god it wasn't too major. now all i have to do is run that snorkel i want to do this week. it'll be way better for labor day.:drive:

Tom, I was there the whole day, Eric Duer never said a word to me and I would have told him the same if he had,Eric is not telling the truth if he said he did. Yes ,I leave Shawn and Eric in charge during the mud run, But when I see or hear things I am not comfortable with I bring it up to them to be addressed. I am a reasonable person , I open my shop ,house ,anything I have is welcomed by all, I am not a prick like some may now feel.I was only covering my own tale ,I cannot afford a lawsuit, Hell I cannot even afford the divorce I am goingg thru. Road Rage; Nice truck I wish I could have seen it run a little more . I seen you pick it up Sunday am, I made sure no-one messed with it . I am sorry you do not want to come back , if that is the way everyone feels ,that is okay. I have to worry about me getting sued. If you were in my shoes , and did not know the person, or about the person and his character would you be willing to give up everything you worked for to pay him for his negegence. I am not saying he is the only one at fault but when a person does not get out of the way before a truck starts to get snatched out of the pit, and a spotter (he being one of them) says go you make the bad chioce , you suffer the consequenses for your own actions. Not someone else.I realize he is a friend of yours, but if you owned the land , you did not know him ,and you were in my shoes what would you do. He knows where I live he could have came to me and talked about it and reasured me it was okay.

Hey, it's your choice what you want to do on your own land, but perhaps you might want to take a look at all the other things that go on out there that are a hell of a lot more dangerous than what someone else did in their past to someone else. Maybe you should look at unsafe pull points or people without a drivers license driving in the mud, or straps that are too old to be used anymore (I saw a couple of those break last time out). I appreciate you keeping an eye on my truck, let us know if you change your mind as to who is invited to future runs.

I think that this story is just going to go back and forth between people way to much. I have what happened on video from that mud run. I watched the video again after all of this got brought up. I think that there realy shouldnt have been anyone past the rope and in the mud while trucks are being pulled out. I think that if you went out there you take the resposability, but that is my thinking and I have nothing to do with this. I do not like the phone tag thing.As far as other things that need to be addressed ,road rage you are correct. Pull points are another one of my issues and that was brought up along with no-one withing 40-50 ft of any pull. There were other issues that were going to be address to keep our fun safer.

that was a really cool vid, when i was watching it i 2 wayed my buddy and had him listen to it parts of it and he said "one of them trucks sure sounded healthy".

That was a 12 year old and I gave him permission to drive in the pit as long as it was not overly crowded with truck, he is a cautious drive and curtious too! He has NEVER created a problem and he is parentally supervised ,if he is the one talked about as far as not having a drivers license he is welcome here anytime!!!!!!!
