Would it be bad to run a dana 60 in the front and a dana 44 in the rear???

You could do this but it would be better to have a Dana 60,70 rear or a 14 bolt

the only reason i'm asking is the truck im thinkin' about buying has a 44 in the rear and independent in the front. Then I'd just put a 60 in the front for future improvments to the rear. Due to tight budget I figured it would be smarter to buy 1 azel in the future instead of 2. If that makes any sense. I just didn't know if I'd run into any problems

and from what i know a 60 in the front and a 14 in the rear is a really good combo unless u have 60's all the way around prolly a better one though

Yea 60 front and rear is good but 14 bolt is a lot stronger. But it doesn't have good clearance and it is very heavy. As of running 60 front and 44 back you would have different bolt patterns.

if your looking at buying a dana 60 front you might as well spend a extra 100 or 2 and buy 2.5 tons. i know of some 2.5 gmcs for a good price cheaper than a 60
