I run amsoil in my motor swapped Contour SVT and in my 5.0 4x4 - when you beat the piss out of your motor every weekend - I trust Amsoil and it hasn't let me down yet..

Back when we were racing dirt an engine builder told us not to use synthetics, he claimed that it does not penetrate the seals causing them to dry out. Not sure if he was blowing smoke or not but we ran it anyway and always had good luck with the engines.

synthetics have come along way in the last 10 years. The old synthetics were not soo good, but the new ones are superb.

I run amsoil in everything in my mud truck. The thing that made a big difference was the trany. My trany temp is way down from what it was. I ran it in my t-case,diffs and engine. I have stop running it in the diffs because it get change so much it not worth the price. In a street truck it is worth running it in the diffs. I think the best thing in there line is there ATF. My trany is a turbo-hydromatic 400.

Sweet - so my new 4R70W probably takes ~ 8 or 9 quarts plus my giant coler probably takes another 1 1/2 quarts - AmsOil AFT runs roughly $8-9 a quart - wow... ~100 bucks to fill the transmission...
