Got this off another site. I've seen some pretty big catfish and muskie, but this one takes a widescreen monitor

Funny DNR said the largest fish in MN was near 300 lbs...
yep, doesn't look like a MN fish -> http://www.lenssportfishing-bc.com/sturgeon-fishing.htm

From the Grand Forks paper, not a MN fish -> http://www.grandforks.com/mld/grandforks/sports/outdoors/14528710.htm

Actually there was a "big fish" special on Explorer or something last night around 12. This guy was fishing the river and caught a 600-700 lb sturgen. Funny because the guy who caught it goes "yeah, i'll be keeping this record for quite a while"

Once they are born, they actaully dont stop growing. Living up to 100 years old, obviously they can get that big, and i would imagine theres some chemicals in MN rivers that help em grow that were accidently dumped:p I've caught these things in the river, along with carp. freaky looking things.

Off topic, but a guy i know got his jeepr cherokee stolen and the dumbsh!t who stole dumped it in the river off 169. When they pulled it out less then a week later, they had a 50 lb catfish living inside it. Says even the closed glove compartment was full of mud.

I've caught a 20 lb one in Canada a while back. I thought I had snagged a rock until the line started moving. They are some ugly bastards.
