I've heard Iroks are great, but not sure for mud. And they are pretty soft, so will wear quicker than other tires.

iroks wear better on the road than any of the other super swampers except the arent that great in the mud and they aren't self cleaning so they will load up with mud quick, the baha claws are more of a sand tire, and i dont know anything bout the other ones

49x21 iroks
47x15 ltbs or
46x19.5 baja claws?
Never ran any of these my self, but have a set of 39.5 Irok's waiting in my garage...
I've seen pics of Irok's almost bald at 10,000 miles. 42 & 39.5" Bias
I've read the LTBs are a stronger tire, might wear better on the road.
Good luck staying in the lane, and good luck with the Cops.

You're more than likely going to be illegal one way or another. Either height or too much tire sticking out, something. Maybe the tires are too loud.:arf:

I've done some research on the MN DOT page...
Problem is the Frame height law. In this state you can only have the frame 6" above stock height.
Well a 47" tire is 6.5" taller than a stock F350 tire. So even with out any lift you're over the limit. How many cops know this... or are willing to pull you over is a gamble. Further away from a large city the better... but you still have the State Patrol...
Hey, I'll be taking the gamble with my Jeep 8" lift with 5" taller tires. I'm also working on a three ring binder with MN DOT info for when they pull me over.
too much tire sticking outCouple Jeep guys fought this and won. They can still give you a ticket and you'll have to fight it.
Best if you can get hot rod plates... but thats another thread...

usually the sticking out can be fixed with a set of bushwhackers or something. I know up by me in Hibbing the local boys could care less but county sheriffs and state troupers were pulling guys over with 3" body and 35's.
Now in the U.P. it is a different story. The one guy in our club ran a K5 around that only had a truck cab, front clip on it, and on 39.5's. The rig was actually the kids DD and the best part was when he did get pulled over once and once once so far, the cops were only concerned about registration, insurance, brakes and lights. Past that they said have a nice day.

I got pulled over a week after buying mine. They were more concerned about me not having mud flaps than the height. They just said to get it checked out, as they "didn't look legal". Max bumper height is 25". Mine are a few over that, but haven't had any trouble since. That's with 36" tires and a 6" lift.

ya i know the frame height law and i think i found a way around it but i dont know yet im gonna ask a cop i know if it would be legal. ive been pulled over once for not having fender flares lol. thats the only time ive been pulled over in my truck but its because of anoka and coon rapids cops. so i stay away from those cities.
My plan, run over 2 doz donuts to the cop shop in my Jeep. :D

ya i got a drop bumper in the front cause my custom bumper is like 33" off the ground so i made one taht brigns it down to 25". but its still not really legal because i dont have 4 supports on it. i have 2 1x2 solid stock suports with 2 grade 8's on each holdin it in. the back is like 28" so i dotn worry bout it to much lol. but once i finish the lft on m truck the front bumper will be like 48" from the ground lol so ill need to make a really nice new drop bumper.
