holy s**T. i use 15x38.5x15 on front dana 44. it broke my carrier case, but reason why it broke? cuz case's cross shaft pin's hole have been loose up. so it cause destoried the whole spider gear and ring, pinion gears, what a f**ked up case! i got 2 new case. one with mini spool in it with 4.09.1 gears. 1 with spider gear w 4.09.1 gears. so gonna use mini spool for this memorial weekend. hopefully wont break it again. but im not surprised that axle shaft will break, since its having heavy meats on it. i broke one short axle shaft last july, replaced, after that no break til stupid carrier case.

Oh well, you didn't want that 44 anyways right! I"m glad to see that it can happen though. To many people deny it can happen. Some guy was convinced his 39's on a ford 9" will be fine, probly only way it'll hold up is cause he doesn't have enough power to actually turn them. Its nice to see that these axles aren't invinceable and upgrading is important. spread the word

It seems that most of the trucks out there that are running Dana 44s either don't have much power, or bald tires. Or both. Otherwise you're gonna break!
