Anyone know the reason Hertel moved

Some years back, the mud bog in Hertel Wisconsin was just across the street from the Bar to the east. Last year is was just west of the bar. Does anyone know why it was moved? Not that I'm complaining... I really had fun there last year!

I was fortunate enough to have that conversation with Baxter. Several of us were sitting around a fire when this truck comes out of no where an a guy hops out. It was Baxter thanking us for not causing any problems. Trust me, anything that could go wrong did that weekend, many visits by ambulances. EEEK, anyways he told us the reason he had to move the event was that you had to drive through a tiny stream to get to the event, and the local friendly DNR let him know this little stream was protected, and the event had to stop. So, they moved it to the location last year. I believe he said that the land that the run occurred on was the private property of either a Congressman or a Legislature. I can't quite remember his name, but I was able to meet him last Memorial day, and he's a great guy.:llama:

it was moved to Mark Pettis's land, Baxter and Pettis JR put it on which is different than then the one from years ago, 2005 was the indian creek mud bog
