You can always start with the basics:

Performance exhaust
High quality filter
Computer programmer

After that, you can always bolt on a supercharger!

what would one of them do to your gas mileage?

I would love to get me a supercharger on my Sierra. It's spendy, but it's hard to beat the price per horsepower!

5.o maybee if you want no torque or horsepower

I would actually look at an Air Raid cold air intake. But DO NOT use a K&N on it. The oil from the filter will ruin your mass airflow sensor.

I may not be an expert on the subject, but more horsepower 99.999999999999999999999999infinity% of the time means more fuel.

well when you are hopping up a motor and going mudding with it most of the time.. well I speak for myself im not worried about fuel economy.

Thats not always true. Swampy is really looking for efficiency. There are a few mods that will give you more power and better fuel economy. The folks at the factory don't build for perfection. They build for cheap!

those cold air intakes are a ****ing rip off

I ordered one many moons ago for my 91 when it showed up I was baffled why a piece of 3" exhaust tubeing and a k-n cost $250

I could have bought a filter and a piece of tubeing for $60 but your bent over for the piece of **** plastic part they had made in taiwon for $.05 that "creates a swirling vortex effect increasing horsepower, torque, and gas mileage" that bolts to the throttle body

these things are a Joke unless you like to piss away money
