hey dave the only info i have on those tires are that they are made by armour and they are 19.5x24r2s. i got a hold of a place yesterday but they where a wholesale co and wouldnt sell to me but they gave me some #s of there distributers , which im going to call today. i wii let you know what i find out.

nope i talked to a guy who buys them from china and sells them to smaller companies last night. and he told me he sold some to a dealer in iowa and they should be around 480 a tire? ill find out in couple hours:D

I heard you had to weld it up yourself :poke: yep i did! i was going to have mike do all the welding , because hes a great welder and im just learning. but since he went out of town i said i would tach it together, but then i laid a few welds that looked good so i said f it nows as good of time as any to get better. i had a few friends stop by and they say it look great. theres only 3 welds that looked like crap and i had to hit with the grinder.

it would be but time verses $ ill spend alittle. kinda like the pro fab mount 150.00 or 3-4 hours or more for that style that i bought , inless your a master fabricator with the right tools. but dont get me wrong i would have made alot of that if was going to effect the budget, and that is why i did my own frame and will be doing pretty much the whole damn truck myself, so i can do it as cheap as possible with the new motor i should stay around 15 grand with trading the old truck parts and ****!

i still got bolt on and weld the bottom bracket for those top hats!! and those are the stock bolts and there ohh a 1/2" to short now.and my brother in law did all the welding on the tabs, except on the insides of them . thats where i get to do all my welding . lol in the last pick the side bracket is lying on the ground!!!!!!!!

Hey ben! I just got done catchin up! Looks pretty cool! for a chevy, lol! I havn't been keepin up since the tire chapter. I'm just wonderin, in the shots where you had the eng and trans in the frame, it looked like you have the engine angled back almost as far as mine is. I had to because of t-case swap. With all that clearance, why didn't you mount the motor a little lower and more upright? Just curious. I'm lookin forward to our first side by side blast come spring time!!!

why didn't you mount the motor a little lower and more upright? that is as low as i could mount it, without mounting it off the main frame. which i did not want to do. as for the angle the tranny was never bolted in place in any of those pics., and if you put a level on the intake the engine is in there level. i do have the engine sitting back futher in the truck than a stock location. and as for the tires Dave i went with a 14.9 x 26 , a 52" R2. and i hope you got that frame beefed up, dont want this old chevy rippin you in half next year,when im pullin that stuck turd, i mean ford out!!!! LOL:D

how does the truck look pics pleaselooks great, cage is in, and ordered a new cage mount switch panel. so all i got to do is re wire it and test her out! no pics but soon as i get it re wired i ll take some of the interior. other then that just collecting parts to have a tranny built!

still not wired , been busy with work. and also collecting parts to have a tranny built up! but when i get back to her i should have her running in a few hrs. plus my so called garage sucks to work in in the winter!!! might aswell be outside workin on it! lol

if i remember right you are working out side on it. if you need it i can get a big tarp and you can use my heater all you have to do is pay for the diesel

thanks for the offer, but that is how im set up now! its a 45'long x 30' wide lean to. i got a tarp that covers the front of one stall and down the side of one to make a 15x 30 garage with a heater!
